Good luck! My first home visit with the social worker I accidentally groped his crotch. So just remember, yours will surely go better than that!
5/10 - Gideon 6/12 Warren 4/11 Started adoption process for 2 siblings through DCF. 10/12 Found out we are licensed! 12/14 Brought 3 week old identical twin girls home from the hospital. Could be at least until Summer 1015 til we know if they are forever ours

I TOTALLY want to hear the story behind this one
After 2 years of IF workups/treatments and 2 IUIs, we have closed the door on fertility treatments. We are very excited to be pursuing international adoption from China!

I was so nervous about making a good impression - I had a lady come clean my house, got the dogs groomed, made sure they were well exercised, etc. The whole time the social worker was here things went GREAT! And then, as the guy got up to leave, my bigger dog decided to jump up on his nice clean pants and left a paw print. Before I even thought about what I was doing, I realized I was totally touching his many parts trying to get the paw print off.
Oh, and by the time the home study was complete I was so comfortable with the social worker (a different one than the first visit), that I had her walking my dog for me. It's amazing how different the first visit was from the last!

Hahaha I totally just laughed out loud too. My DH said the word "sh!t" in conversation no less than FOUR times while our social worker was here. She didn't seem bothered by it at all- guess she deals with a lot of New Yorkers who think that's completely appropriate. I'm pretty sure I was cringing and kicking him under the table every time he said it but when I brought it up later he didn't even remember. Thankfully we still passed
TTC #2, Operative hysteroscopy March 2011; IVF #1 long lupron protocol April 2011-cancelled due to poor response; IVF #2 flare protocol May 2011=hospitalization due to abdominal hemorrhage during ER and no fert due to MFI issues. Moving onto international adoption from Moldova January 2013!
