T and Ps Please! (Warning DS mentioned and Probably TMI)
I posted this in the October Angel's check-in but I am driving myself crazy with worry and nerves. (Time to take rescue remedy!) Anyway, yesterday I noticed a bulge in my lady parts. I've noticed it before, but finally got up the courage to inspect. Well, when I looked in a mirror I could clearly see it. And when I push on it I can feel pressure in my rectum. Well, I went to google (not a great idea) and it sounds like it could be my colon prolapsing. In addition to the pressure, it's also been extremely painful to have sex the last couple of times (so painful we had to stop). And I've been having some lower back pain as well. The worse case scenario is that I'll have to have surgery to correct it but then we won't be able to have any more babies because the risks will be too great. Of course, I immediately called my gynecologist and will be seeing her tomorrow morning.
I guess I should mention this isn't the first time I'm noticing this. It's just the first time I've been able to see it and that it has bothered me and that I've bothered to read what it could be. It's also not the first time something has prolapsed either. After having DS (who weighed 10lbs. 7oz.) the top of my vagina prolapsed right after birth. After 6 months it went back in. And then when I was pregnant with Charlotte my cervix prolapsed (although my midwife told me not worry about it at the time and I don't think that's why I miscarried her anyway).
I'm sorry this is so long. I guess I just need to vent. The possibility of never being able to have any more children is killing me. I'm a wreck.
Has anybody ever experienced anything like this or known anybody who has?

Before you let Dr. Google completely freak you out keep in mind it could be something else - I had fibroids that caused a big bulge in my abdomen. Mine was not in the same spot as yours, but fibroids can be anywhere in and around the uterus. I still needed surgery, but it was by no means a death sentence to your dreams of another child.
Here's to hoping you have something minor that can be easily taken care of!
