Smurfin' bathroom

We are painting our bathroom today. We picked a nice light blue called California Sky. Except that now that it's on my walls, it looks like a freakin' smurf's a$$. Oh well, I bet the girls will think it's awesome.

    Exact same thing happened to me. I wanted a blue so light you might think it was white. Didn't happen. I am too burned out to do anything about it.

    Mom did that with a pink. Picked the colour and when it went on the wall it looked like her bathroom had puked cotton candy.

    Our walls are all a slightly-yellow off white. I'd gladly take a Smurf or cotton candy bathroom just to breaky up the monotony, but I don't think the landlord would like that.

    Picking out paint scares me for this reason. I always go too dark or too light. I'm terrible at it. There are great websites now that help you pick good, classic colors but I'm still scared to commit

    That's my problem, too.

    I got DD1 all hyped up on the nice purple bedroom she'd have. She asked me yesterday when her bedroom would 'turn" purple. We painted it last week. Oops. Hopefully a few wall decals will make up for the too-lightness of the walls.
