I know a baby named Nevah born very recently. Pronunced Knee-Va

Problem we are from Maine and her name is going to be pronunced Nev-Ah (like a lot of people say never here). She is already correcting people and some one on facebook asked jokingly if she is "recognizing her heritage."

Not  sure if this is even a real name. But I feel incredibly bad for her daughter already.

    I pronounced it Nev-ah, and thought it was some sort of slang pronunciation of "never".

    My best friend in high school had Neva as a mn.  I would've pronounced it correctly but can definitely see people pronouncing it incorrectly.

    It looks like Haven (not heaven) spelled backwards. Yep, in MA it would sound awful.
