First AF

Hi Ladies, I just had a quick question. I have been BF'ing for the last 8 months and I am starting to wean my LO off. I have not had my AF since I got PG and I believe I started today but it came back brown? Is that normal? Also I have no cramping. Just wondering if anyone else has had this and if its normal. Thanks for your help!

    I'm breastfeeding and haven't gotten my cycle back yet, but it sounds normal to me. I've had that happen at the beginning of a cycle before I was pregnant. Your body hasn't gone through this process in so long, I chock that up to "rusty pipes" if you will. From everything I've read, it may take a few months for everything to go completely back to normal. Some women have said they even got 2 cycles in one month. If there isn't extraordinary pain with it I wouldn't worry.

    I have had 2 cycles now, even though I am still BFing and the first one was definitely not a normal cycle.  Lighter, similar color-wise to what you describe, no cramping, etc.  2nd cycle was much more typical, although still no cramps.  Maybe having a baby resolves me of those for life now!

    yes. then as I continued it went to a normal color.
