Pretty Sure I'm dying VENT

I woke up at 5:30am yesterday with some pretty uncomfortable abdominal pains. It didn't feel like contractions and there was no bleeding so I chalked it up to fibroid pain. When I woke back up at 9:30am and the pain was still there and had gotten worse, I called my OB who had me come in. He checked my cervix=closed. No ovarian cysts, Owen is super healthy and kicking away and we even got a shot where his mouth was opening and closing looking like he was telling Mommy that he was fine. So cute! After ruling out preterm labor and all other issues, my OB told me that it seems to just be a really bad case of RLP?!?!? I was SHOCKED. I thought RLP was sudden and sharp, but this is persistent and has been going on for 2 days now...and it's even worse this morning! I'm so, so happy that our baby is healthy, but this SHIZ suuuucks. My OB gave me Tylenol with codeine for the pain, but in all honesty it isn't touching this RLP!!! I have a very high tolerence to pain meds due to a back injury so that shiz is BS to me. I also forgot to ask him, I have a large scar across my abdomen from a back surgery that is probably similar to a Csection scar. Could this be contributing to the pain? I really am so uncomfortable and in constant pain right now and, in the words of Elizabeth Banks from WTEWYE, making a human is really hard!!!! Uuuuuuuugh end rant

Wow that sounds like some serious pain. I don't know if that is rlp because I get rlp sometimes and its usually only on one side and lasts for a few seconds periodically. It could be the scar...your skin is having to stretch to accommodate the uterus. Scars are not as elastic. I have three scars on my belly from an appendix removal 6 weeks ago. I can tell you, with how big my belly has gotten, the scars definitely hurt. More so than the rlp. I would ask for a second opinion and bring up the scar.

I should've mentioned that at periodic times throughout the constant pain I get a super sharp twinge on my left side too. It feels like baby is squeezing my ovary. I'm thinking it's just a combination of stretching, severe RLP, and my scar mixed with a little fibroid pain. My SIL is 34 weeks and she said she had the same pains around 20 wks and her Dr told her the same thing. If I could afford a 2nd opinion I would go, but in all honesty I live in such a rural town, I'm not sure if there is another OB!
