Crouse hospital?

Hi, my husband and I just moved to baldwinsville from Philadelphia and we just found out that I am pregnant. I have found a doctor, Dr Berry and associates.  They are affiliated with crouse hospital.  I don't know much about the area and was wondering if this a good hospital? I have been hearing really good things about St Joe's and was wondering if I should be looking for a new doctor.

    Its an ok hospital imo unless you really want a natural birth, if so I recomend Syracuse Midwives they deliver at the St Joes birth center

    Thank you so much. I'm still unsure of going natural.  I wish I could say with confidence that I can do it! 

    I will check out syracuse midwives.

    Friends who have had babys at both recommended St Joes to me and I have had 2 there now.  Crouse is advertises they have the most babies born and they are good, but tend to rush a bit more ( more likely to have interventions done).  St Joes also has a great nicu, a natural birth center if you choose, private rooms, caring nurses, and are one of the few hospitals nationwide certified for lactation specialists by the WHO.  Associates for womens medicine or Syracuse Midwives are the groups who deliver there.

    I delivered at Crouse in January and loved it! I had an all natural birth and they were super supportive. I was in labor for 17 hours and never felt rushed or pressured into anything. I was put into a two person room but never had a roommate and it turned out to be kind of nice. My husband had a bed to sleep in comfortably so he got to stay with me the entire time we were there. They also give you the option of keeping your baby with you or putting he/she into a nursery if you have a rough delivery and new a little rest afterwords. Also if you are planning to bf I felt like their lactation specialists were great. My son and I struggled a little at first and I don't think I would have been able to bf if it wasn't for them! I'm definitely planning on having any future children there.
