LO and I try to take am walks, it gets us out, get some fresh air, etc. usually he lasts about 40 min in the stroller before crying. Today I got to walk for an hour he didn't even get fussy, it was just getting a little too warm out for how we were dressed. He even hung out in his carrier for a bit while I got to change clothes! It's the little things that make us so happy. Who else has had a bragging moment today or recently?
Re: A moment to brag!
I take LO to the gym daycarethat I help out with today, and she was the only baby to not have a meltdown. There's a 4 month old and an 11 month old there, and the 11 month old needs complete attention from whoever is holding her, which really is a bummer because there's two of us for 5-6 kids; 3 of which are babies. The 4 month old is usually pretty mellow but he starts to melt down about 30-45 minutes into it, and the two 2 year olds are very well behaved children who are content to play with their toys. I used to just wear my LO in the sling, where she'd usually take a quick nap or look around; however recently I've started to try and stop the little "cat naps" and find a way for LO to take longer naps, so I've been bringing her play mat. Every time she just lays under there for the majority of the time, babbling and cooing. she might make a little fussy noise, but I distract her and she's fine. If she gets bored, I pop her in the bumbo and she's good for another 10-15, which by that time it's over.
Completely temperamental obviously, but I can't help but want to brag about how mellow and laidback she is. Of course, it bites me in the butt when I want to snuggle and she wants me to leave her alone!
ME!!!! Today we went out to eat with baby and I wasn't sure how she would do. She fell asleep on the way to the restaurant, slept 1/2 way through the meal, and after a major diaper blow-out in a restaurant that did NOT have a diaper changing table (only downside, but hardly baby's fault...) she was a perfect little angel the whole time! She didn't make a peep!
This is our 3rd baby - I have NEVER had such a successful attempt at eating out with a baby, diaper explosion included!

The other day we went to lunch and she just sat in her car seat watching us eat and talk, and eventually passed out as we got our check. Not a peep out of her.
In the shower tonight yes, the shower she gave me the biggest grin and laughed out loud while I washed her hair, even though it was an hour after bedtime.
She lets me take 2 hour walks in the morning in her stroller.
She is content to just sit on my lap and "talk to me" for a few hours each day. Love this!
