rash guard v. swim suit

Contemplating signing up for a swimming class with LO if I can this summer. Which would you go with ... rash gaurd or a swim suit for LO? Am leaning towards the rash gaurd, however she's still in 0 to 3 mo sizes so if there are reccomendations on where to find them, am all eyes (already saw a few online with Gymboree, none in size at OldNavy, nor Gap)

    If it is an outdoor pool I would definitely do a rash guard. I looked all over for a long sleeved rash guard, finally found one on target.com. We just joined the local pool club and will be outside a lot, so I wanted one that covers a lot, less sun exposure. Lo screamed her head off in the pool but we r going to keep trying, in her defense the water was still a little cool.

    Hanna Andersson has rash guards. My DD is also in 3 month and size 50 fits her perfectly. Swimsuits are so cute, but I like the sun protection the rash guards offer. The bummer about HA is that they are so stinking expensive! I live near an outlet and was lucky enough to find two on sale for about $8 each. I have seen them at consignment stores for cheaper, too.

    I bought a cute swimsuit from once upon a child, and then found an iplay rashguard on amazon that matches well enough. If we're outside and in the sun between 10ish and 4ish, she'll wear the rashguard over her suit.

    We bought a rash guard at Target, and I've also seen them at Children's Place.

    So those using rash gaurds, can they be instead of swim suits, or only over? Obivously will use a swim diaper

    I bought my DS two rash guards from Hanna Andersson for outside swimming and then he has a couple swim trunks for the random times we'll be in an inside pool.

    i'm buying a rash guard with diaper trunks made my iplay - they have boy and girl ones for all sizes.
