Office door window shade?

Hey all,

I am returning to work on Monday and will be pumping in my office. The only problem is that there is a long rectangular window on my office door. Does anyone have suggestions for how to cover this temporarily? I know they make great sticky window film that makes it look like frosted glass, but I would prefer something like a shade that I can open and close so that people can see in sometimes, but not when I am pumping of course. A google search didn't turn anything feasible up.

I don't really want to just do nails and a blanket, but I might have to. TIA for any ideas.

  • Bed Bath and Beyond sell paper shades.  I used them when I pumped with a window by my office door.  They have an adhesive on the top, come wide and you can just cut them to fit in the window.  They come with clips so you can raise it up if you want.  I've seen them at Home Depot too.  I used one for like 9 months and never had a problem with it.
  • Friends of mine had the same problem. They brought a piece of darker fabric and pinned it above the window like a curtain and just tied it in a knot when they weren't using it.
  • I went the ghetto route and just taped up paper. I don't take it down. If my door's shut, no one can see in. Otherwise, I just leave my door open.
