T&P Triplet Update

My coworker friend delivered her triplets early Monday morning at 24 weeks. Sadly, one of the baby boys passed away today. The doctors found a cerebral hemorrhage yesterday in one of the other boys, but I have not heard a status update on him yet. So far they are expecting that the babies will be in the NICU until September. A couple of her other friends have organized food to be taken to the family every Monday and Friday for the next few months. I am at a loss for anything else I could do that might ease their pain.

    I hate that feeling of not being able to do anything.  Maybe you could get a gift that includes a gas gift card and coffee shop gift card? They will likely be driving a lot and need the caffeine.

    Oh, that is so sad.  I think it must be unbelievably difficult to try to celebrate new lives and mourn a lost life at the same time that you are navigating the new and challenging waters of parenthood.  I am thinking of them.  I hope you are able to help in whatever small way you can.

    Maybe find a nice restaurant near the hospital and get a gift card from there. They will be spending a lot of time there and it might be nice to order out a nice dinner. T&P's to the family. This is so sad.

    I'm so sorry. That is terribly tragic. Many T and P to the family, and praying for two little miracles.

    How sad! I agree with getting them a gift card to a restaurant or for coffee.

    I am so sorry to hear this. Lots of prayers for your friend and her family.

    Gas cards, coffee shop gift cards, maybe even some to a local grocery store.
    Began TTC #1 in January 2011
    Confirmation and Removal of Endo - March 2012
    +#1 on 4/1/12 - m/c @ ~8w 5d
    +#2 Tx cycle 4 - 5 mg Letrozole + 75iu Follsitim & Ovidrel w/ IUI on 11/13/12 - EDD 7/23/13 
    7 week u/s revealed THREE babies, all with heartbeats.  153bpm, 148bpm, and 136bpm
    9 week u/s revealed loss of Baby B.  A and C are growing on track.  A measuring 9w1d with 172bpm and C measuring 9w0d with 179 bpm.  
    Elective sex determination u/s on 2/8 revealed... boy AND girl!

    Wow! That is a very difficult situation. Lots of prayers for that family. I'm sure any kind of support will be welcomed by them. I hope the best for the two little ones!
    I think pp had good idea about giftcards to nearby places.

    Gas cards are an excellent gift for right now, NICU parents do so much back and forth driving. another idea might be a snack type of gift basket, things that they can grab and munch on quickly for those in between meal times.
