Lip sucking

My LO is 5 months old and has been doing this off and on for a few months now. He sucks on his bottom lip pretty aggressively to the point where he's making loud smacking sounds! Anyone else's baby do this? Is it just one of those self discovery things they do? It doesn't seem to relate to being hungry, tired, etc

I think I know what are talking about and I think DD has been doing this too. She is also blowing raspberries like crazy.

DD does this too! It drives me crazy sometimes when she does it so much but I asked at her 6 mo appt Monday and my pedi said it was completely normal!

My LO was doing that, for about a month, and then just recently stopped and replaced it with shouting "Dadadadada" all day long. Seriously. I think it's just discovery, like they figure out they can do it, so they do it like crazy.

my LO does this too.. Her four year old coiusin showed her raspberries and now she wont stop.. its her new " im tired and cranky" thing too..

At first i thought the lip smakcing/sucking was hunger but now i realize it's just a thing.
