Finally had my first actual OB appt!

Hola everybody! I haven't updated in awhile, so today is as good a day as any. I'm 12 weeks and some change right now and I finally had my first OB appt. and with a new to me OB to boot. She is in the same practice as the man who delivered DD, but since he is not great with followup care and PPD I decided to switch. I actually switched a long time ago, so I was actually switching from another practice all together. I liked my old doctor, but I didn't love the men that practiced with her, so at least I know if something happens the other doctors that cover my new doc are great surgeons and will take care of me. Oh and the new doc had twins through IVF, so we have infertility in common. High five! 

On to fun stuff...I had my 1st Tri screening and had 7 vials of blood taken. That was a freaking blast. The u/s tech was great {and swears she remembers me from DD} but damn she pushed down hard. She told the baby "Sorry baby, not trying to kill you" LOL She was just trying to punch a whole in my stomach. I also got to have a pap and a breast exam. All sorts of fun! The u/s measurements all looked good, the blood results will be back next week and they'll only call if something is off. I'm actually having the Panorama test done on Friday, so we'll be double sure about what's going on...and I'll get to find out the sex as a bonus for all the blood taking! 

Oh and I'm measuring 13wks, I've been ahead the whole time. Wonder if this one won't be the peanut DD was. She also went ahead and scheduled my RCS for Monday December 9th. Before anybody goes all anti-scheduled c/s on me, I'll be 39 weeks, so suck it. 

We'll have a 2.5 week old on Christmas morning. Yay!

    Guess away...

    HR is 150, has been higher in the past though 150 today.

    Bad skin and hair

    No true M/S, though haven't felt great. Dry heaving seems to be the favorite thing to do around here.

    Aversion to red meat.

    Completely exhausted.

    Any other questions?

    Yeah, everybody keeps saying it's going to be a boy. I REALLY want DD to have a sister. So I REALLY hope you are all wrong. Smile

    I felt the same way, but being a mom to a boy is all kinds of awesome. I am sad DD won't have a sister but having one of each is a blast.

    Congrats Kate!!  SO glad to hear everything looks good and hope your bloodwork is all fine!

    I am going to say girl, because it seems like a huge girl wave is happening with people I know

    Well, I've had more this pregnancy than the last and she's for sure a girl. I love all the OWTs...you can find an answer for everything!

    Congrats on the great appt!  I am going to have the harmony (panorama) test done as well.  I love that you'll have a 2 week old on Christmas.  Ds2 was 6 or 7 weeks old his first Christmas and I loved it.  I had one of those Santa suit buntings for him to wear in all the pictures ;)

    Because of hair/skin, I say girl.  The OWT of girls take away their mothers' beauty was true for me.  (I actually think #4 is girl due to this too)

    What does the Bump's Chinese gender chart say for you?  Is it correct for DD?

    12/9 is my bday and I've always loved it.  Everyone is in the holiday mode, lots of parties and decorations everywhere but far enough away from the actual holiday that it's not forgotten.  Congrats!
