lurker .. anyones LO on alimentum

I'm from the zero to three board...my LO was just switched to alimentum.. who's lo had to be on it and did they eventually get to switchback or stay on alimentum?

    My LO has been on Alimentum since she was 2 1/2 months due to me having supply issues. She was getting a little colicky so my ped recommended this formula. I am hoping at her 6 month appointment I can ask her ped if we can go to maybe a gentle formula. This stuff is just so expensive and is burning a whole in my wallet. Plus she never really seemed to like the taste of it, but she seems to tolerate it.

    DS has been on Alimentum since he was 3 weeks due to a milk and soy protein allergy. According to my pedi, DS will be on this formula until he is a year old. Although, I have heard some moms say that they have started transitioning their baby onto regular milk-based formula earlier than 1 year old. But I would ask your pedi and see what he/she recommends.
