  Finland knows what's up. I wish we had something like that here. That would eliminate about half of the items on my registry! The clothes included in the box look really cute too.

  The only thing I got out of this article is that Finland mothers to be chose to receive no prenatal care unless there is an incentive. Because, you know, a healthy baby isn't much of a reward as a box full of awesome stuff is.

  It doesn't say that at all.

  The incentive to receive the box by seeking prenatal care before 4 months doesn't mean that they wouldn't seek care if there was no promise of a box. It even says that some opt out of the box if they got one for a previous child because they can reuse the contents for subsequent children.  

  It's a great program. Anything that reduces infant mortality is an improvement for the system.
