So the past few weeks I have had twinges of back pain. Well at the time, I thought they were terrible - but now that I have full sciatica - I realize they were just twinges. My goodness, I thought I had a high pain tolerance, but seriously I have cried about 5 times since it really started on Saturday.
I bought a belly support band - which has helped. The baby hates it because she can't sit in her favorite spot (right on my pelvis which has caused the problem in the first place). I guess it is kind of funny that as soon as I take of the band I feel her settle right back into that spot. I can just picture her going "ahh, that's the spot!".
The sad thing (besides the pain, leg numbness and knee buckling) is I think the pain is raising my sugars and my BP. Oh well. 6 weeks to go at the most. I can do anything for 6 weeks right?
Re: Sciatica - it makes me sad
I am hoping (since I have only had it a few days) that it passes soon when she drops. Please let that be the case!
And I need to pull out my exercise ball too!
This. I also suffer from sciatica and it really helps to move, stretch, and breath deeply. I also use a heating pad (on the lowest setting) quickly followed by an ice pack. The combination of the two really does help. Feel good!
