Intro - possible 1 and done

Hi all,

I just wanted to introduce myself as a very likely one and done Mommy to be.  DH and I are having our first with an EDD of 09.01.14.  At the time of birth I'll be 35 and he'll be 41.  I also own a small business so taking time away for pregnancy and mat leave is very, very difficult.  We always wanted kid(s) but now that we're looking to have our first, we've decided that it may very well be our first and last.

If anybody has any comments, thoughts, tips etc - I'd love to hear them!

    Welcome!  You might find that after the newborn stage, you're REALLY sure you're one and done! I love my son like crazy but I'd never want to repeat those first few months over again.

    Ha!  My son was a really good baby so on the opposite end  I didn't want to push my luck!  There are some great posts on one and done with some common questions, advantages of one and done on the board which are very helpful.

    Thanks guys!  

    I've also decided that I don't really enjoy being pregnant. That's not to say I'm not excited about becoming a Mom because I am.  It's just that pregnancy and I haven't gotten on so far and it makes the thought of doing it a second time even less appealing. 

    Looking forward to reading a bit more on this board and getting to know everybody.

    Yay!!  I lived in the UK for years and love the stuff.  I'll definitely miss it this summer!
