You guys probably recall my fascination with Reed Timmer (meteorologist from storm chasers)
One of the other storm chasers on the show was killed last week in a tornado, Tim Samaras, his son, and his chase partner. He seemed to be one of the more careful chasers. I guess the tornado took a quick, unpredicted turn toward them.
If I had the guts I think I would love being a storm chaser. I am so fascinated by storms.
Re: Bummed about Tim Samaras' death.
Storm chasing is in MHs bucket list.
30 years of chasing and research! When he was on the show I always told MH that's who's team I'd be on because he was so cautious and so smart.
When he was a child he used to watch Wizard of Oz and say someday I'm going to go inside of a tornado.
They are trying to locate all of his equipment to see what their final moment were like and if any data was collected.
Wow! It's cliche, but at least he died doing what he loved.
Wow truly devastating! I can not imagine. I don't think I will let MH drive home from work if sirnes are going off. He has a very long commute in heavy traffic. So scary.
