7mos old food schedule

So when you introduce meat, where do you fit in your fruits and veggies?

Do you still give a little fruit w/veggies at lunch and then again at dinner?

I feel so lost and I want to make sure he's getting every nutritional thing he needs at this age.

 Snacks....should that be started yet? What?

     I started DD on solids at 6 mos. and introduce something new every 5 or 6 days and we're still working our way through "stage 1" foods. so, we're a long way from meat. so far, she gets 1 serving of cereal in the morning and a fruit or veggie in the evening. pedi said she won't need 3 meals/day until 9 mos. or so and i'll introduce lunch last since i'm either at work in the middle of the day or out & about with dd. she's still getting almost everything she needs from bm now anyway, except for iron & vit. D.

    DD started stage 2 foods at 6 months. I waited until then to introduce meats as suggested by our pedi. Our pedi also recommended that we get the meats that were already mixed with veggies. I usually feed dd meat and veggie for lunch and an additional veggie for dinner. She gets her fruit at breakfast. Sometimes I will feed her fruit at dinner too. I haven't started snacks yet. Unless you count puffs.  My dd also had a problem with dairy so we are a little slow on introducing finger foods (per our pedi). I don't know if this helps you any, but maybe it will. Also, most of your dc's nutrition will still be coming from formula/breastmilk.

    I honestly thought it was best to wait until 8mos on the meat. I do not know now where I read/heard that from though........

    I'm starting a third meal at 7mos (we started 1 at 5mos and 2 at 6mos) so that they will be in place (timewise) and then we can work on building up ozs as she sees fit. Right now we do lunch and dinner and she only takes about 4ozs total for the day so we have a long way to go.
