So ladies let's hear it, what are you doing for your SO/DH? I need some more ideas. Today I secured tickets to a concert we both really want to see, but I am also looking for ideas for something from DS to daddy. Can't wait to hear your plans.
I bought DH tickets to a baseball game. From LO I bought him a bball hat with "Love Roo" embroidered on the back. She's going to give it to him right before the game.
I wish I knew. DH always knows what to get me but I never know what to get him....but I have to figure it out this week!
This is where I am. He made mother's day very special for me, and I really want to do the same for him, but I am struggling with ideas. Can't wait to see other responses too.

Sadly, my husband is working on Father's Day (he was on nights for mother's day, so not working, but slept most of the day). I bought a good bottle of scotch and a set of crystal double old fashioneds and whiskey stones, so hopefully he can have a nice drink after his long day at the hospital!
I wrote a dear daddy letter in crayon that has simple sentences of all the things LO likes about daddy, exI love how you always rile me up when mommy wants me to calm down, and framed it. I'm not gonna lie, it's pretty cute

So far, all I got is a "You are my Sunshine" book for DH to read to DD, since he is always singing that song to her. Maybe I'll cook him some steak since I'm a vegetarian and he puts up with it!

I LOVE this idea! I might just have to borrow it too.
We have a place you can like paint and decorate pottery and then they put it in an oven and shalac it for a keepsake. So I think I am going to get a plate and put Joshua's handprints on it with fingers pointing down and write "My Dads the best hands down!" Love Joshua. So it's something we can like display!
I made him a book from shutterfly, got him a ball one to put her feet prints on, and a key chain that says "so this girl stole my heart and she calls me daddy".
DH made mother's day really awesome so I feel a lot of pressure to get things right! I'm giving him a cool pair of shoes he wanted and an inexpensive wallet from J.Crew (he needs a new one) from the baby and a beer glass from his favorite brewery and the book "My Dad is Fat" (supposed to be a funny book on fatherhood from comedian Jim Gaffigan) from our dog.

I bought DS a onesie from Baby Gap that says 'Me plus Daddy Equal Love' then took his picture in it and had it made on a coffee mug. DH favorite candy is Reeses Pieces so I put them in the mug w/ a note from DS that says 'Love you to pieces.' Of course DS will wear the onesie on fathers day. Still can't think of anything from me though. I like pp idea about a steak dinner, thats right up DH alley.

My hubby loves to take tea to work every day in a travel mug so I made him a travel mug from Shutterfly that says Dad on it and has pictures of him and DS. I'll get him something from me too but not sure what yet. I will also let him pick what we do and eat for the day- I'll cook if he wants, or we will go out. Nothing thrilling but I will try to make it special for him!
My DH has never been good at planning things out so Mother's Day for us was him doing the chores so I could snuggle with baby and then going out to dinner and hitting up Barnes & Nobles where he bought the three books I had selected for me. He also did help my MIL with the craft that she made for me though... but in general he's a 'tell me what you want and I'll buy it' and 'let's go to dinner to celebrate' kind of guy.
He hates going out to restaurants though, prefers takeout any day. So for my low-key husband I ordered a couple DVDs off of his Amazon wishlist and DS and I made him a popcorn bowl at one of those painted pottery places. DS finger painted the whole outside, then I got his footprints on the inside, and then he took a nap while I painted 'World's Best Dad!' on the inside and 'Happy First Father's Day - John Ryan - 2013' on the bottom. I was so excited when I picked it up all done! I hate having to wait to give presents, but a nice movie night at home with a sentimental popcorn bowl is what we're doing.

This is me as well. Had the concert tickets not practically fallen in my lap I'd have nothing!
That's adorable. I might totally steal this idea!
