Slightly elevated liver enzymes

My son was really sick with a double ear infection and a virus, about a month and a half ago. Ever since he has had slightly elevated liver enzymes, not elevated enough for there to be an obvious problem but out of normal range. We are waiting for an appointment with a GI specialist to get to the bottom of it. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm so upset and worried.

    It can be the bodies response from being really sick. Try to hang in there until your GI appointment, but I bet she'll calm your fears!

    Goodness, I hope you're right. I'm worried sick. He seems healthy and happy and the numbers are slightly elevated so hopefully it's a mix of him having a virus and being in Advil.
