Has anyone experienced having multiple periods in one month after re-starting birth control? I started on the mini-pill (progesterone only) 2 months ago. No problem the first month. Used the mini-pills for over a decade now. This month my period has shown up three times. Not spotting. A regular period.
I've never been on birth control after being pregnant, so I wasn't sure if this is something that can and does happen when going back on birth control. I try not to go to the doctors unless absolutely necessary as I don't have health insurance until hopefully October, when insurance companies can no longer deny me insurance for a pre-existing health condition. Of course, I won't put my health in jeopardy and will pay out-of-pocket if it is an issue. Just wanted some feedback before making the doctor's appt or using an alternative method for birth control.
Re: 3 periods in one month?
I don't take the mini pill nor have I had this issue. I'm no help!
I'd say the periods are a bit worrisome. With my health, I'd feel comfortable waiting until the next month to see if my body normalized. Take some iron pills in the meantime! If you had any other complications after pregnancy, perhaps you should go in?
