whoa!! 19 lb baby!

This is an old article, but came across it on the internet. 19 lb baby born back in 2009. I couldn't even imagine. Appears the mother had GD. I was worried yesterday when I had my growth scan done and they told me my baby was already 7lbs. I still have 3 weeks to go and got nervous because my other two boys were 7lbs at 39 weeks when I delivered. I saw my OB today and she put my worries at ease, and said "it's just an estimate....it's the best tool we have- and they are usually off by a full pound"...which I already knew but still worried me.

Ouch, my 8 lb 2 oz was hard enough. I couldn't imagine carrying around a 19 lb baby.

I'm with your doctor. The baby I watch "was" 7 lbs about 5 weeks before he was born. They were expecting a 10 lb baby but he came out at just over 7 lbs. I don't put much stock in the growth scans.
