Very agitated with DH

Here lately I have been trying to cook for DH. He is so picky so it's hard to find something that he likes to eat. He only likes his moms cooking. I try cooking dinner and he says I'm I'll go to my moms house to eat to see what she is cooking... I'm pissed I just needed to vent!

And to top it off my fatherinlaw just called me fatso!! Ugggh my buttons are really being pushed today!

Did he marry you because he wanted a wife or a personal chef?
I love cooking for my DH but he has never insulted my cooking even once. If he did, then he could fend for himself.

Cooking takes a lot of time and effort and if it is not appreciated, don't waste your energy.

What is stopping him from cooking? He could learn just as easily as you can.

His comments about going to his Mom's are rude. I would tell him he has hurt you feelings because you have tried to make dishes that he enjoys and it disappoints you when he doesn't like them and is unkind about it.

Um, he's gets the douche award for the week.

I have no problem with my husband telling he doesn't care for something I cook or what he what he would like me to change about the meal, but he has NEVER not ate what I cooked.

Yeah, like pp said, he'd be sleeping at his Momma's if he left my meal to go eat hers.

I had a big long rant post, but that's not what you need. And PPs covered most of it

Maybe a nice way of dealing with this is that you guys take a cooking class together. Maybe even just try cooking together. That's something DH and I really enjoy!

I would definitely set down a rule that dinner time is family time, and we do not go anywhere or have anyone over that was not agreed on first!

Agree with everyone wtf is he thinking? I've cooked some terrible dishes, and DH still knows to say I haven't made a dish he didn't like.

... My SO is one of the biggest momma boys there is, she sill makes him a homemade cakes for his birthday and he's 31. But he knows better than to not eat what I cook for him.

There are two options in our house, take it or leave it. I've only had to tell him once that if he didn't like the meal, he could go fluck himself... He never complained again.

Your DH is a real piece of work. My DH would be taking a dirt nap if he did that me. Does he even try to eat at home? I would make DH sleep at his mommys house if he wanted to eat there every night. I'd stop cooking or trying to cook for him, just cook for you. And your FIL is a flucking diiiick.
