Intro & 2nd time Is so different!

Hi, everyone. Just found out recently that our second baby is due in late January. I'm still early, but I'm already amazed at how different this pregnancy has been! I am EXHAUSTED (granted, I do have a toddler!) and so very, very emotional. I don't remember feeling so out of control... Also, I'm freezing all the time, which is definitely different.

Any other 2nd-timers experiencing new symptoms?

HI! I am in the same boat. Absolutely exhausted this time, and way more nausea. I had to go to dr. and get prescription for diclectin. I too, am running around after a 14 month old (who sleeps poorly and is teething molars sigh).

I really don't remember feeling this crappy last time. lol

Congrats! This pregnancy is pretty much the same as DS - but I can't nap when I want so I feel so much more tired than I did with him.

I am also cold which is different from the first time around! Also I'm experiencing back and hip pain. Though I had some back pain it was not until the very end last time. My morning sickness is worse this time around. I had a very pleasant pg with dd, and find that everything is happening quicker and the symptoms are more pronounced. I think it also has to do with the fact that I have a toddler running around. I'm so sleepy all the time it makes me feel completely useless...lol.

Welcome! And yes, this second time is worse for me, too. I was never this sick before. Also more tired, but that I blame on having a toddler this time. But the morning sickness is the worst. And I'm already not sleeping as well.

I blame my exhaustion on my toddler, too, but my morning sickness sucks this time. I'm having more digestion issues in general this time--like every single one. Aversions are worse this time, too. With DD, I could find comfort foods to eat, this time I'm hardly ever finding anything appealing, just trying to find stuff I can choke down.

I'm SOOO glad you said something about freezing! Last time I was PG, i remember always being hot. This time, I'll be really cold with goose bumps all over my arms. i'll drink a cup of hot tea and then be HOT, crawling out of my skin, trying to find cold tile HOT. I don't remember this at all!

I remember the emotional and tired part though... we have a nursing room for mothers in our building; we always called it the "nappery". I can't wait until I can come out and tell work so I can be signed back up to use the room (it has an access badge).

Mostly I've noticed I have far more nausea than I did last time around. It's pretty much constant.

This is my 2nd due Jan 14th. This pregnancy so far in the short 8 weeks is so different. With my dd I didn't even know I was pregnant I only got sick maybe twice the whole time. This pregnancy I have been extrememly nauseous and tired. I also feel like I can feel everything in my body change where as with my dd I didn't have any clue what to expect. So yes this pregnancy is completely different.

Mostly the same symptoms here. A little tired and when I'm hungry I need to eat right that instant. I've have a hard time sleeping already..uggh. That didn't happen until later. Also, my back has been hurting since day one which I didn't have last time...probably bc I was exercising last time at this point and didn't have horrible stomach muscles from being pregnant already.
