Let me preface by saying I've had an amazing milk supply since a few days pp. I'm really lucky. My goal was to make it to 6 mos pp for the twins I'm EP with the exception of the occasional nursing sesh for ds. Babies are 5 months today...crazy btw! And over the past 3 days I've noticed my normally great supply dwindling. Nothing's changed. Still pumping at same times. Drinking tons of water. But I'm not getting that full feeling or engorgement much at all. When I used to pump I'd get about 7 or 8 oz from right breast and between 4 and a half to five and a half on the left side. Now I am barely getting 6 on right and three and a half left. Anyone have a similar experience? Dh seems to think its just naturally diminishing. I feel a little sad about this.....

    It can be very normal to experience a drop around this time, especially with pumping.  If you aren't already, try adding back in a night session between 12am and 5am when your prolactin levels are the highest...I had to keep a 1am pump until almost 7 months to avoid a drop.

    2 years, 2 surgeries, 2 clomid fails, 2 IUIs, 1 loss, IVF #1 - 10/25/10 = BFP!, DS is now 3.5yrs!

    I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929

    My supply started to diminish around then as well, but I had planned to wean at 6 months anyway. You can always ask your ob for that stuff...I can't remember the name...if you're interested and nothing else is working.

    I had a supply drop around 6 months and again around 8/9 months. I recovered both times. If you aren't already, try eating real oatmeal every day, drinking mothers milk tea, and baking some lactation cookies. I've also heard that gator ade can help. I had to bump my calories up again too as I didn't realize I had started eating less. Or maybe I was more active and burning more calories with a crawler! GL, you are doing an amazing job. And how in earth are your babies 5 months already?!

    Our daughter E was born 7/29/2012!
    Surprise, our 2nd daughter P was born 5/22/14!

    You might be getting AF. I noticed a drop and rebound around that time. 

    Btw, great job on the pumping!

    Me-36, Unexplained Infertility, DH-35, all clear
    Clomid 50mg 12/2011 = BFN
    Clomid 100mg 1/2012 = BFN, with Cyst
    IVF #1 Lupron/Menopur/Gonal-f/HCG Trigger
    ER 4/19/12 = 11 retrieved, 6 fertilized,
    ET 4/22/12 = 2 transfered (day 3), remaining 3 weren't good enough to freeze
    Beta 5/3 = BFP, 87 Beta #2 5/7 560.9 Beta #3 5/9 1376.5 First u/s One Baby, 125bpm!
    Second u/s, 176bmp! Kicked over to the OB by the RE at 8w. Team Green!! 
    Baby girl J arrived two weeks early! Born into water, med-free. Hooray for Team Pink!

    TTC #2 - back to the RE, treatment started 12/2014.

    I never had the supply to EBF/EP, but I also noticed a drop around 6 mos. I started weaning around then, so it never became an issue. However, I second the notion that AF might be on her way. I always had drops a few days before she arrived. I'd try to add in another pumping session. That's the only thing that ever helped my supply.

    Three TI cycles (BFP...miscarriage), five IUI attempts and 2.5 IVF cycles later...BFP!!
    12dp5dt: 765; 15dp5dt: 1979; 17dp5dt: 3379...TWINS!!!!!
    Our perfect baby boys were born at 36w1d!!

    Thanks ladies! I am going to just watch my body and see how things go. Plus add back my middle of the night pumping sesh. And TJ, I have NO idea! Time is really flying!
