Baby monitors...

Favorite baby monitor? I'm open to either just audio or video too. My first baby ::and plan to have a few more:: and have spent a lot of time with children just finally get to have one of my own! So I'd like it to last through 3 children!
Pregnancy discovered at 12 weeks 12/2007 - D&C at 13 Weeks due to partial Ectopic pregnancy/Body rejecting pregnancy. Last Pregnancy - EDD August 2013 TTC Our first miracle baby.

    Video monitor is a must have. It is nice to spy on them. we did that until DD was 3. They make noise and you can just look at camera instead of rushing in.

    We have an audio only monitor. I won't recommend the brand because it isn't that great but I have never once thought, "gee, I wish I had a video monitor". We live in a one story house so that might have something to do with it. LO has been sleeping in his crib since he came home so I never had the separation anxiety either. At this point the only reason I can think for me to have a video monitor is when he gets older and can get into mischief. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

    Oh - our monitor has a two way speaker so I can push a button and talk to LO. It helps calm him down when I can't get to him immediately. That feature I love and would recommend if you can find it.

    We have a Foscam video camera with 2-way audio and night vision. It's marketed as a security cam and not a baby monitor but it is awesome! It is all on wireless so you can pull up the images on your computer, phone, ipad, etc. You don't have to worry about being out of range if you go outside or something cause all it needs is wi-fi.
