Hi ladies,
I know I'm a bit behind most of you, but my LO just turned 6 months last Tuesday. So I decided to start sleep training this past weekend because he was a bad sleeper, never slept in his crib and always in my room. I would appreciate some feedback from the moms that went through it already, just so I know if I'm doing it correctly or something I need to change. Thanks. Friday was the first night.
FYI., at first, I wasn't sure if I wanted to eliminate the paci, but I decided to do it.

My baby was only taking 4oz bottles at a time, so I've been working on upping the ounces. So far it's working ![]()
We are also working on naps, it's a little slower but it's working. He cries but then eventually falls asleep on is own for most naps.
Thanks ladies.
Re: Sleep training,so far... Would like some feedback
Oh my gosh, what a cutie!!
Looks like good progress to me. I think most of us are down for the night a lot earlier than 9. I've heard you should aim for 10-12 hours of nighttime sleep at this age. I think that's right...
What's your nap schedule look like?

We are actually going through this right now as well. LO will be 7 months on the 9th and up until Saturday she had been sleeping in a swing in our room. We started the Ferber Method and moved her to her room on Saturday and last night she slept through the night in her crib!
I agree with pp to start bedtime a little earlier. We do bath anytime between 7 and 7:30, then books, nursing/bottle, bed around 8. So far it's worked pretty well, but we are only 3 nights in. It seems like schedule is the key, which we never had before.
Thanks ladies. I am trying to move his bed time a little earlier. He starts his first nap around 8 now and usually lasts at least 1.5 hours, which is awesome compared to where we were before.
I don't have napping on a strict schedule yet, because sometimes I'm out and he sleeps in the stroller. But here's an idea;
*8:30 - 10:00
*12:30-1:00
*2:30-3:00*5:00-5:45
We're usually napping at 8:30 for about 1.5, 12:30 for about 2, and then 4 for about 45 min. And he has skipped the 4pm nap a few times.
