Bella Band, button extender, or maternity pants?

I'm only 6.4 weeks along, but the bloating has already started and my pants are getting a little tight.  Plus I'm trying to be prepared for further down the road when the bloating goes away and the bump comes.  So I've been looking at the different options out there and was just curious if people had a preference or pros/cons for a particular option.

Re: Bella Band, button extender, or maternity pants?

  • I started by using a hair tie wrapped around my pant button and looped through for extra room. Then I got a belly band when that no longer worked. Then switched to maternity pants.

  • I was told how awsome the B Band was so I got one as soon as it was needed and I feel a bit disappointed, I feel like its pretty self explanatory so I cant imagine Im doing it wrong but its just not working for me. got my first pair of maternity pants today and probably gonna return them tomorrow for a bigger size so they can stay with me longer

  • I used the Bella Band throughout the entirety of my last pregnancy once my pants got tight.  I never did buy any maternity pants but I have heard from others that they are great.  I also never had the problems others had with the Bella Band slipping down though.

Yep, I did the same thing.

  • I hated the Bella band the first time around maternity pants are the best!

  • I used the target B band last time and love it.

  • My work pants just started getting tight so I just bought the be band but am not impressed so far.  I have heard the rubber band around the button works well but most of my dress pants for work have hook and eye closures so that option is out for me.  And trying to find inexpensive maternity dress pants in my area has proven to be a challenge.  So I just bought some new maxi dresses and will be wearing those until I'm actually showing baby and not bloat.  Then I'll invest in some maternity pants.

  • i have never used the belly band but by some of the comments on this site  i dont think i will try it. With previous pregnancy i bought maternity trousers for work as they adjust all the way through pregnancy and bought maternity jeans for home..

at the moment with it being hot weather i have done what previous ladies have and have invested in a load of maxi dresses for work and home and keeps me cool and loose round the stomach  when I'm feeling particularly bloated.

I used the bellaband and the rubberband trick but then I finally decided to buy maternity jeans and found out it was God's gift to pregnant women. So much more comfortable!
