omg teeth

So, my little guy cut his first tooth yesterday, and I can see the second of this pair starting to cut through today. He's getting so big so fast!

I asked about teething when we were at his 4 month checkup (1.5 weeks ago) since he has been putting everything in his mouth, rubbing my knuckles against his gums, and drooling like a fountain, but the pediatrician said she didn't see any signs of teeth.

Well, they are here and he is none too pleased. We are trying various teethers (cold, not cold, chilled wet washcloth) and tylenol to help with the pain, plus plenty of cuddling for comfort.

Any one have good tips for teething? I know our parents both (jokingly) suggested some whiskey on the gums, but I think I'll pass. :)

    i wish you luck thats for sure! im starting to go through this process with the drooling everywhere and the hands rubbing on his gums.... ill have to watch the post to see what everyone comes up with!

    Congrats on the teeth!!

    My little guy has been chewing and drooling like crazy for two months and I've now seen two big bulges and two small ones for nearly a week... but nothing coming through yet.

    What you're already doing is what I would have suggested to help, so all I can offer is my congrats and hope that he feels better soon.

    Congrats on the teeth!!! My LO has been drooling and chewing for about a month now and nothing! I know they can teeth for months, but I would really like to see something, anything to solidify that she is actually teething. Hopefully soon!

    DS must be ready to pop some, he chews like crazy and rubs his ear... poor little guy. I hope it pops soon so he gets some relief before the next one comes. we are using Tylenol, teething tablets and chewies... although he doesn't like any teething toys just fingers and blankets.

    DD's first one started popping through on Saturday and yesterday the 2nd one.  She was soooo fussy yesterday afternoon/night and I ended up giving her Tylenol.  She fussed and fussed before she finally fell asleep.  I help the cold teether on her gums for a few minutes and she liked that, but I hope she doesn't get much fussier.  And those little teeth are sharp.  I put my finger in her mouth and was like "oh ouch there's a tooth" haha.
