Where to find pics for baby's wall

mobile users: where to find pics for baby's wall

Anyone have sites they like to browse inexpensive prints or copies of pictures to frame for the nursery?  I'd love to find a trio some little boy or classic childhood pics to put in my own frames above the changing table. Etsy?  I didn't see a ton on allposters.com.

My ticker is way off tonight for some reason. I'm negative 14 weeks pregnant apparently LOL.

  • I have found some cute free printables on pinterest. I have framed them in cheap frames I bought from the dollar store and painted them. Etsy has some cute things but they seemed to be expensive. Il take free or cheap any day!

  • I'm not sure if this will help, but what I'm doing is printing out Minnie Mouse on colored paper pink just to use as an outline, then flipping them I've so you can't see any lines, gluing them on white paper, and then framing them! I found the idea on Pinterest, that one was just princesses
  • I just found some on Etsy but as the pp said, they're pricey! I pinned it though to keep it in mind. I liked this one a lot:  Vehicle Pics She has another listing where you can pick 4 for a lower price than the 6. That's an option.

I know you were thinking prints, but have you thought about hanging framed things, like old metal toy cars, planes, etc.? We have an antique christening gown framed, I love it, its 3d art! I'll post a picture in the morning if you want to see.

Sure, post a pic. I am leaning toward framed since it'll be above the changing table, and once he's an older infant or toddler while still in that room, I don't really want things he'll be grabbing at.

  • Art.com is really good. You can choose to buy just the print or to have it framed. They do a wonderful job of framing. Also, they are affordable.

  • I did something similar to what the PP did.  You know those wooden shapes that they sell at Hobby Lobby?  I bought three different car ones and traced them onto decorated scrapbook paper and cut them out.  I then glued a thin piece of foam mat to the back of each one (to make them stand up from the paper a little) as well as some buttons for the wheels.  I popped them into dollar store frames and glued on ribbon to connect them.  The picture is kind of crappy and you can't see the designs on the paper, but I think it turned out pretty good and spent less than $5!

  • I second just Googling 'free printables.' I found a bunch that I liked that way and will just need to pay to have them printed on a thicker paper.
