Intro and Birth Story

DH and I started TTC in July of 2010. We started IF testing in September of 2011 and we completed our first round of IVF in December 2011. My history is in my siggy, but it was IVF #3 that brought us our two precious baby boys who were born on May 16, 2013.

Birth Story:

On Tuesday, May 14th after my MFM appointment I noticed a dull ache in my back. As the day progressed I started getting irregular contractions. Nothing I did seemed to help the ache.

Then on Wednesday, May15th the dull ache became a tight feeling and the contractions were still irregular. I called my OB and they told me to call back if the contractions became regular, there was an increase in discharge, or if my water broke. Well, at 658 I felt two little pops and my water had broken.
I was 3 cm when I got to the hospital and I was still 3 cm an hour later when my doctor checked me again still with no regular contractions. We decided to give my body a chance to work on its own before starting pitocin. The contractions became regular and strong, but they were not changing my cervix. The pitocin was started on its lowest dose.
Around 900 on Thursday, May 16th I started pushing to discover A was sunny side up and his head was too big for my pelvis. It was decided that a csection was the safest route for delivery. At 1046 AM Connor Christian was born weighing 7 pounds 13 ounces and at 1047 AM Dominick Lee was born weighing 5 pounds 13 ounces. Everything with delivery went smoothly.
On Saturday Connor was put on the belli bed and I also received a blood transfusion due to blood loss. My OB was great and she stayed well past her shift change to deliver the twins. Unfortunately, she wasn't able to perform the csection because she had to get to the office but I greatly appreciate the fact that she stayed 2 and a half hours longer.
