Thank you Auntie...

Auntie...

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you.  Back in January, our world was turned upside down when our oldest son was diagnosed with autism.  Two weeks after learning this news, I gave birth to our second son.

The past few months have included evaluations, appointments and numerous therapies as we continue to search for answers and seek to help our son the best we can. For me personally, the one saving grace has been this board. The support here is amazing!  I want to thank you in particular, because I have learned so much from you.. And you have given myself (and others I am sure) so much strength and hope.   Hearing you talk of your own son, the struggles you have overcome and how well he is doing now makes me feel like everything we do now for our little one is worth the fight..

Thank you!

Re: Thank you Auntie...

  • And a thank you from me, too! I so appreciate the time you invest here, and the time you've spent reading through a number of my long posts to offer insight, advice, explanations, etc. I've felt frustrated and confused at times being bounced around between various professionals who had conflicting opinions on my son and you've been a great resource to help me sort through some of that.

  • I, too, will throw in a hearty thanks- my husband is constantly laughing at me when I say "well, auntie on the internet says..". But seriously, your advice re: letter of thanks and recognition sent to the superintendent in lieu of end of year gift was priceless and produced tears by all.
