I didn't really hear a pop but I felt a pop. I stood up fast than a gush came. I would think that if you just spring a leak you wouldent hear or feel anything.

Didn't hear it but felt it. I stayed sitting for about 10 mins so I didn't think anything of it until I stood up and a gush came out... And then didn't stop lol

I have heard a pop is common. Mine broke Thursday and was quiet. I did get to see the membrane that ruptures. It's very thin and elastic like so I can see how it would pop.
I might have heard a little something when my water broke - but mostly it just felt like one really strong baby hiccup. Standing up and finding fluid leaking out of me quickly disabused me of that notion!
I was laying on the couch and felt 2 pops and knew instantly what it was. I rolled off the couch because I didn't want it to get wet and had a huge gush on the floor. I did not hear anything.
There was something, because I knew to go to the bathroom and I don't think I leaked on the way there. But as soon as I sat at the toilet it was all coming out.... So there was at least a feeling that something had happened that got me to go straight to the bathroom.
