Re: ::::Healthy Living Checkin:::

  • This week's goals:

    1. Baby boot camp MWF

    2. Walk 3 times

    3. Get information about YMCA and join. Sign up DS for swimming lessons :)

    4. Log my food into My Fitness Pal

    Long term goal: I'd like to lose 10 pounds and tone up all over. I'm hoping to meet this goal by the end of summer, though I know the last 10 pounds take a bit longer so hopefully I'm not being too optimistic. I also want to begin to clean up my diet to set a good example for DS as he will beginning to eat soon!

    GTKY: The best advice I have heard is that if you "mess up" or go overboard, don't start over the next day or next week. Start with the next meal so you don't go into a downward spiral.

    GYKY... It was something I saw on Pinterest. I forget the actual quote, but it's something like "I never regret it when I do it, but I always regret it when I don't." And it's in regards to exercise. I really never want to go to the gym, but after my workout I feel awesome and I'm so glad I did it.

    Love this, so true!

    Goals for this week: 1. Going out to exercise again, probably swimming this week.2.nbsp; Drink plenty of water, as always3. Make healthy food choicesnbsp;Long term goal: create healthy eating habits to be a good example for my little girl and my own health. At the moment I have no weight issues, the pounds miraculously melted of after delivery and with BFing. I used to be on the heavy side, however, and I want to maintain my weight after I stop nursing. This requiresnbsp; stopping eating out of stress or boredom, or at least going for something that is actual food rather than fat and sweet rubbish when I do. GTKY: Moderation, not deprivation, that is, if you follow a regime that makes you feel like you have to deprive yourself of certain foodstuffs, you will not create lifelong healthy habits. Better to enjoy everything in moderation.

    Swimming sounds like fun! Haven't swam yet this year. Have fun!
