Swim Diapers

Has any one ever used a reusable swim diaper? Or is there some type of waterproof thing that would go over a regular one...and works!

We have used disposable swimmy diapers for the past 2 summers but they don't hold anything in. Clearly, my 2 year old doesn't have the breastfed poop going on but if its a little loose, I sort of panic! I don't want to be the mom responsible for clearing out a pool!!

We use Applecheeks swim diapers... the only time we've used a disposable swim diaper is when a friend gave them to us.  They contain poo better than a disposable swim diaper, IMO, because the elastic is much better.  There's no way to contain pee, obviously (since disposable swim diapers don't absorb pee, and a disposable diaper absorbs pool/lake water and then the pee gets peed out into the body of water, lol), but I like them and prefer them and they aren't expensive.

  • We use the iplay reuseables. Amazon or buy buy baby have them. We like them and often recommend them to others.
  • We've always used a Bummis swim diaper. I've never used disposables so I have nothing to compare it to.

  • I just use the reusable cloth ones that Walmart sells.  In 2 summers, never had a kid poop in one though.  Fingers crossed...

I used the Imse Vimse ones. But she never pooped in them so IDK how good they were lol.

  • We have used the iPlay reusable since newborn and my son is almost 3.  He has never pooped in them so I'm not sure how well they hold, but I love not having to buy disposable.

  • We started using disposables until I figured out how much money we were spending since we often went to the pool two times a day 6 days a week.  I bought a reusable swim diaper from amazon, not sure what brand, but it was around $10.  She pooped in it twice and both times everything was contained.  We simply took her in the bathroom, dumped it in the toilet, washed it with soap and water in the sink, and headed back out to the pool.
