Life sure has been crazy since we met our girls on Wednesday. Annabelle and Kendall are awesome. They are both still losing weight so we are on the nurse both/pump/supplement plan. It is exhausting but I am committed to nursing them. My milk seems to be coming in so hopefully that will help. I have also had a difficult time recovering from the c section. Apparently Annabelle was in a strange position and unwilling to join the outside world so surgery was a bit longer and I lost a lot of blood during surgery. As a result I have had gas pains and bowel issues that are worse than normal. I have been in a considerable amount of pain and discomfort so I don't think any of us are going to be able to go home tomorrow as planned. I am so tired of feeling miserable and am so ready to feel better so I can actually enjoy my girls.

You're doing great momma!! Keep up the good work! I hope your boobies start working double time and that you are feeling better soon. I'm sure you probably know this, but the more you can get up and move, the faster the gas pain will dissipate. It will also help with bowel issues too.

Aww you are a champ for even taking the time to check in with us! I'm so sorry you are having a rough recovery. I hope it's better soon and everyone can settle into a routine. Sending you lots of positive thoughts as I know you've got to be so, so tired.

Yeah. I have been walking a lot but it hasn't helped yet. I even go for walks after nursing the girls in the middle of the night.

Also I think it's pretty normal for it to take 4 to 5 days your milk to come in. So you should be good pretty soon. My friend BF her twins, but she did have to supplement w formula and did a lot of pumping too.

This was the case with me as well. But, we had significant latch issues that contributed to supply problems. I believe I would have been much more prepared with a successful BFing experience from an older child, so I think you will do great once you get the tandeming down! In the end, I ended up hands-free pumping while doing tandem bottle feeds in boppy pillows and bouncy chairs. That worked really well until we recently weaned.

Hoping you get to feeling better soon. I found that being so pregnant with twins really made my c/s recovery so difficult (since I was so out of shape). Keep walking and maybe ask the hospital for an abdominal binder- that REALLY helped my pain level.
