Father's Day (just gift from me?)

We won't have the SKs until 2nd half of Summer this year. Typically in these years we see them at Memorial Day but this year due to injuries we were unable to travel for the Memorial Day weekend. I would have had the kids make and get DH something then for Father's Day.

The years we have 1st half we are together for Father's Day, so it's a non issue.

My SKs are young. I'm wondering if I should bother attempting to buy card (preaddressed and stamped) send to kids (so they can sign and return). BM NEVER has them send anything to DH for any reason. No drawings, letters, cards for any reason much less Father's Day.

OR should I just get him a gift from myself (we have no kids together) recognizing the fact that I think he is a great dad and just celebrate when they arrive in mid July?

    The bold. Get him a card and a gift from you. Maybe get tickets or something to a water park or kids museum or something like that for you all to do together when the SKs arrive, and then also celebrate when the SKs arrive.

    I like this idea a lot!

    Thinking as a CP, if you called me and asked me to work with you on getting a card to YH for father's day, I would (well I might not; I'm pretty pissed at XH right now.. but any other time I would). But if it just showed up in the mail and the kids did not take the initiative, I probably would not do anything. If the kids wanted to do it and asked for my help, I'd do it. So.. I guess I just like communication.
