Tylenol or Motrin for teeth?

My 7 month old went to the dr because he was playing with his ear. He just got over an ear infection so i thought it might be that but the dr said theres a little fluid in his ear from being teething so start giving him some motrin to get the inflammation down. She said Motrin would also work with the teething because its a pain reliever. I had been giving my son tylenol when his teeth hurt and that seemed to work but the Motrin isn't working! Anyone else have experience with either of these and which works better? I have to continue motrin for his ears but dont want to mix tylenol too..too much!

I haven't noticed a difference between the two, but prefer Motrin because it lasts longer than Tylenol.

Most people prefer Motrin and I think it's not as bad for their livers.

We went with the baby ibeprophen (motrin) because it is an anti inflammable not just a pain reliever like tylenol. It also seems like the ibeprophen lasts longer.
