Just counting down the days to my next doctors appointment which is on Thursday, it's sad when you actually look forward to a doctors appointment that is how bored and isolated I am feeling right now

    Good Morning!

I know exactly what you mean about the Dr. appts.  I feel like they keep me sane!  I have an MFM appt on Thursday as well.

I also had a regular OB appt this morning (2 in one week, this is really living!  lol)  My cervix has stayed at 2.2cm from last week.  She said that she spoke with my MFM and they are considering progegsterone suppositories.  Anyone with a short cervix have experience with this?  I took them in the beginning of my pregnancy as part of the IVF protocol, they werent so bad.

Its rainy here today for the first time in awhile.  I wonder if the rain will make the day seem to go by slower or faster?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Yes its sad when one looks forward to going to the doctor last week at the doctors office the temp lady knew me by name and didn't even have to ask what insurance I had

  • Hello ladies I'm new here. I've been lurking for a week and finally decided to introduce myself. I'm 33 weeks pregnant and my daughter has turner's syndrome and a heart defect that will need to be corrected right after she is born. I'm on bedrest b/c anytime I'm out of bed I start contracting. I'm hoping to keep the contractions under control and keep her cooking as long as possible so she will be stronger for her surgery.

Bedrest has been really challenging for me b/c I'm a very exercise conscience person. It has only been a week and I can already see my muscle definition deteriorating and my body is getting sore all over. Do any of you have any special stretches or exercises you do?

  • Hope everyone's appts go well! I'm doing good. Might have a bit of a yeast infectiontmi, sorry! So that's frustrating...

No plans for me, just counting down the days until my next appointment! Lol

Hope you guys have a great Monday!

Welcome to the group! I'm newish here as well and this group has been very knowledgable and supportive. Ill be thinking of you that your little girl stays put so she is nice and strong!! My Dr. told me to get up once an hour to use the bathroom and take a quick walk around to stretch my legs. But other than that, no real exercises.
I use to walk a lot but now I just eighter sit on the couch with feet up of try and sleep but that doesn't always happen as I have 2 little monkeys (a.k.a. toddlers ages 2 1/2 and 3 1/2 that get into everything and make messes so much of my time is spent trying to keep them from trashing the house and keep my husband from yelling about the house somedays I just want to run away and just find a place were I can just sleep and take like a 5 hour bath and have a full body massage

Hello, I am new here and just posted an intro on the main page (for more info on my story check that out). My parter is the one on bedrest, but I hope it's still okay I check in here. Shes been on bedrest since last wednesday at 21 weeks exactly. She was on bedrest once before at 18 weeks. We are also counting down until our doctors appointment,  I think she will be glad to get out for the drive and to see other people, but there's also alot of anxiety/anticipation for the results once we are there. I have been trying to be as helpful as I can keeping her positive and keeping the household in order - some days it's really difficult.

Any suggestions on things to do (besides reading and TV) for bedrest when you have to be on your back im not sure what things I can suggest or get for her to do to help keep her mind busy.

have her take up a craft such as crocheting or scrap booking , knitting is also a option also see if you can have people  friends come over regularly to break up the boredom . also don't mind the mood swings and grumpies they will come being stuck in bed all day is exhausting
  • Hi ladies.  I'm not going to lie, today has been a tough day.  One of those days where I think, will this day ever end?  How will I possibly make it this week?  When is this going to end?

I hate to bother my husband at work, but I sent him an emotional text.  He called me back saying he will come home early today.  He is so sweet.

i hope tonight and tomorrow will be better :)

A lot of people here have short cvx and are on progesterone, either shots or suppositories. As you probably already know, the suppositories are messy :

  • Welcome momofclay and Wallace -

    I am 31 weeks today. 7 days to 32 weeks... F/X

Today was kind of a down day. I'm finding the ratio is skewing toward down the longer I am on bedrest. :

Babies seem to be doing great however. I am having daily NSTs now that there is a possibility I ruptured/leaked. I'm told they have great variability in heart rate. They are also decent size - estimated 3lb11oz each last Thurs. I think they've either  moved or hit a growth spurt in the last 2 days bc suddenly my belly is much bigger.

Just trying to survive one day at a time.

  • That's so great Nantucket! Can't wait until we start weekly NSTs. Next week will be our first. It's hard to tell who is moving with two. Almost 4lbs is awesome! Excited for 31 and then 32 weeks!! Can't believe you're so close and so thankful to be right behind you. My doc said he takes a big sigh of relief at 30 then 32 and has no concerns at 34 with twins. Not that they won't have time in nicu, but all the major complications are basically the same risk as full termers. Congrats on your milestone of the week!

MyPlus, totally know what you mean about the bad days. Hubby just left for his first of 4 night shifts, and I was pretty bummed all day. But that means we only have 13 night shifts until babies can come! Haha. So glad you have a supportive hubby, makes a huge difference! Hope you have a better day tomorrow. ::
