Re: Book Club Check In
The book club is open to anyone. Pick the book you want to read and tell us about it once you've finished it! Please check in by leaving the following information:
The number of books read/verses your goal, CR (book you're currently reading; LBR (last book you read)
Feel free to leave a review (good or bad!) and your thoughts on the book(s) you are currently reading and should you need a recommendation for a great book, check our Recommendations Spreadsheet.
My update:
EnglishMajor03: 7/15 CR: The Year of Living Biblically LBR: We Need to Talk About Kevin
I finished We Need to Talk About Kevin. I was complaining that I didn't think I was going to get the closure I wanted from the book, but I did! It ended nicely but left me thinking about it a lot.
Now, I'm on to a non-fiction. The author is hilarious, endearing and a good writer. It's a definite pick me up after my LBR.

LBR: Into Thin Air by John Krakauer
CR: Into the Wild by John Krakauer
Never having a desire to climb Everest, it did entrigue me.. Based on a true story, I was drawn into the characters and their emotions.

For those of you who read the Beautiful Creatures series, did you see the movie yet? I tortured my poor DH by spending pretty much the entire movie saying "Nuhuh! No way! That is NOT how it happened in the book!" And not just the little details either. I was pretty disappointed.
