What tricks are you waiting for your LO to learn?

Is there anything other than the major milestones that you can't wait for your LO to learn?

I can't wait until he starts sticking his hands up to be picked up. I've been trying to teach him to do this, I make a big show of sticking out my hands when I go to pick him up. All I get so far is him slapping my hands or staring blankly at me.

Re: What tricks are you waiting for your LO to learn?

  • DD started doing that this past month. It's super sweet! I am waiting on her to clap regularly and to walk.

  • B started doing the "pick me up" arms a couple weeks ago and yes its very very sweet but they soooo know how to work that cuteness to their advantage. Brant does it almost as soon as his butt hits the floor haha.

I am ready for him to say mama regularly.

  • I would like to add that I would love it if she waited until she was two to walk but I know that's not going to happen since she's almost there and she's taking after her brother. And she is driving me crazy with her standing up and then getting "stuck" in odd positions and places.  I am not ready for the climbing and will be getting a play area for the living room to contain her.

  • She is so close to crawling, and she gets SO frustrated not being able to.  I get frustrated watching.  She does seem to pick up her arms when I go to get her... I didn't realize this was something to watch for hahaha.  I should make more of a big deal of it!

Also... can't wait for "mama".  Sigh Smile

  • L picks up his arms and says mama and claps - he's started waving but at random times - not meaningful, I'm waiting for meaningful waves and pointing.

I agree with the waiting to walk, it's hard enough to keep my LO contained and he is only scooting around. It's amazing what they can manage to get into and its only going to get worse.

But seriously...clapping. She will smack our hands but hasn't figured out how to clap yet.

She started waving a little over a week ago and it's super cute.

I'm NOT looking forward to walking. She gets into enough crawling.

Yes, Clapping and waving are two other things I look forward too. It's such a fun time right now, you can almost see their brains working, learning something new every day.
