Best Weekend!

So my hubby and I had my parents watch DS Saturday and overnight to thus morning. It was my first night away and I was so nervous how I would handle it and how he would be. Luckily, he was a little angel baby for them and barely fussed and pretty much STTN! DH and I had a wonderful day and night and some MUCH needed us time. If you haven't had a night or day away, I highly recommend it! It definitely helped remind me that we do still have a relationship outside of baby! We went kayaking, went to a wine tasting, and then dinner on a river! SO nice! ::mobile smiley::

    Congrats on your awesome weekend!

    DH and I are having a day all to ourselves tomorrow actually. Going to see our first movie in a theater since we saw The Hobbit the day before I went into labor. Afterward we'll go out to lunch and just linger around downtown. I'm really looking forward to it!

    Our first planned overnight without DS isn't scheduled until three nights in August when DH and I go on our annual trip to a classic car race weekend. DS will be almost 8 months old by then and I'm soooo nervous. I know I probably don't need to be though... just like going back to work the anticipation is worse than reality.

    That's great! You guys did a lot, glad you got to enjoy time together and your little one was good for your parents. We talked my mom and grandma in to driving up this weekend,we live 4 1/2hours away, so they could watch our DD while we go out for our wedding anniversary. It'll be my first time away, were just going to dinner and a movie but I'm excited. I hope our DD is a little angel and goes down for them easily.
