DD is 23 months. She is going to a new daycare next week, for the week. Her normal DCP is out of town on a well deserved vacation. Her normal DC provides lunch. This week I have to pack a lunch and snacks for every day. I feel I need some ideas. I'm cooking some carrots right now. She also likes fresh beans. I'll probably make her a small cheese or peanut butter sandwich (as long as peanut butter is okay with temporary DCP) for each day. I also have kid sized yogurts and apple sauce. Any other ideas?
Re: what to pack for daycare lunch?
Veggie burgers are very easy to send b/c they aren't messy at all. Cut up avocado is a good thing to send as well but it is messy - at least when my DS eats it.
Also, pasta or buitoni ravioli with a small bit of tomato sauce.
Applegate Farms makes really great chicken strips and chicken nuggets also.
