How to find a pro-natural birth OB (or recs for OB in Scottsdale, AZ)

I liked my last OB, and while she was supportive of a natural birth, it wasn't her philosophy. She kind of said, if you want a natural birth stay at home as long as you can because if you come to the hospital too early you're going to end up with an epidural. In the end I was able to have a natural VBAC.

We have moved across town so I am looking for a new OB and I'm trying to find one who isn't just supportive but is encouraging of natural childbirth. My problem is that we're not ready to spread the news yet so I don't want to just start asking my friends for recommendations. 

Any recs on finding a good OB? Are there any natural birth associations (or something like that) with lists of OBs? Or anyone know a good OB in Scottsdale AZ?

    I'll try that too, but really want to make sure I get someone focused on a natural birth so I thought I'd ask here too. Thanks.

    Even if you don't hire one, doulas know a lot about your local options. You can call a few and chat w them and they'll share what they know about OBs and hospitals in your area. It's exactly what worked for me. I called a few and they all have me the same doctor's name, he was the clear pro natural 'candidate'. You can google 'doula' and find local websites. DoulaMatch.com is good here in VA, maybe it's a national database. Good luck.

    I ended up with a MW Instead of an OB [i actually switched at 25 weeks] I couldn't find an ob in my area who supported my natural plan. My MW is backed by an OB though and ill still deliver at the hospital.
    Just saying an OB doesn't have to be your only option if you are comfortable without one. Good luck!

    I know of some in the Mesa/Gilbert area if you're willing to travel.  Ramona at Momdoc is highly recommended by many of my friends.  Also, Boojum has CNM's and OB's that a lot of my friends have used as well.

    Have you looked into a birth center?  It's probably your best bet to getting a natural birth.  When I was living in Phoenix I looked into Blossom Birth and Wellness Center and Babymoon Inn.  I didn't live there really that long to really look into either of them, but I remember checking them out in case we got PG while living there and liking both.
