So I'm starting to prepare for purees at the end of the month. I understand how to make the food, but a little confused on what to start with and how to gradually change. Can I mix yogurt in with the purees? And can I feed him some pureed meat from the beginning, or just start with veggies and fruit for a bit then move to meat?Any specific food to skip? Any advice and stories will be greatly appreciated!

I would try just veggies/fruits in the beginning even though I've seen some conflicting information on wether it's necessary to wait on introducing meats. DD will probably not eat meat outside of eggs and we'll introduce eggs around 9 months.
Just remember to introduce each item separately with a 3-4 day window between new items.
We will start with mashed avocado and I plan to let her feed herself.
Same here! I have bought some jars of organic baby food meat combos though so he can have meat.
