She was a little late but they still made it. They showed up with BMs grandma, brother and a few friends. SS seemed to be happy about it and in surprised so many people showed up to see him off so early in the AM.
DH was asked what they would be doing this summer and after listing activities that we had planned he mentioned SS had responsibilities and had to earn some things. They were shocked that not only does SS have chores in our home but that he completes them. He's a different child with us and the environment we provide. I had to lol when BMs mom said "you should teach him to do chores at home." BM lives with her so maybe his home responsibilities will change.
We went to a BBQ yesterday where SS met a lot of kids and we set up playdates. Today we went grocery shopping and he has been such a great help.
I'm hoping the rest of the summer will be as successful :
