Peeling feet skin?

Yes, it's as gross as it sounds. The skin on DS' feet has gotten all peely. And then he picks at it, which makes it twice as gross. I thought it might have been caused by the sandals I got him (cheapos from Walmart), but switching them up made no difference. He doesn't run around with them wet, so I'm at a loss as to what is causing it. Thoughts? TIA

Athlete's foot can cause peeling skin - put some lotrimin on it. Won't hurt him if he doesn't have it either...
