My friend just had a baby, and I don't really know where our babies fall as far as visiting etiquette. Most of us preferred that people didn't bring toddlers to visit in the very beginning, but what about babies 5-6 months? I brought LO to the hospital but she was napping, so it was a nonissue. Would you want them kept apart for a few weeks or is it okay because LO won't be touching them yet?
FWIW my LO isn't in daycare, so she's only exposed to adults, and hasn't been sick.
Re: Our babies and newborns?
I think it would depend on the household. How about just asking? We recently visited with close friends with a two week old. We brought along DS but made sure to wash our hands before touching the new baby and didn't put DS anywhere near the newborn. They were totally fine with it.
