Good morning! 19 days is amazing!!!!! You must be so thrilled!! I didn't sleep well last night. I kept waking up to burning type pains kinda like a cramp in my upper and lower abdomen. I also had pain in my lady parts tmi sorry. It would go away when I switched positions and is gone now. I also asked on the multiple board, anyone else have this?
the burning pain is from muscles and ligaments stretching it doesn't get better the more pregnant you get the only relief is delivery

Thank you for your response. I thought maybe it was ligament pain but it wasn't sharp and quick so I wasn't sure
    welcome
  • Slept much better last night. Doula is coming over today to give an abbreviated birth class. 41 days or less to stitch removal!

So glad you're getting close to due date, aiche. I had some weird pain too, Harley, but it seems to be when I let my bladder get too full and have a BH.

    Have a great Sunday everyone!
    Married to my dream husband
Mom to 2 year old BG twins (Incompetant cervix, cerclage, and LOTS of bed rest)
    Pregnant with our next!
  • Hi ladies!

aiche, I am sooo jealous.  Only 19 more days.  Sigh.

Harley, I constantly have pelvic pain.  That is what has made pregnancy at this point nearly unbearable.  It is because our baby girl is super low, in fact you can feel her head right away on pelvic exams... and I can't sit in a hard chair because I can feel her.  Since she is so low and growing, she puts a lot of pressure on my muscles down there.  I would guess your pain is round ligament pain or like me, one baby is really low.  I have taken Tylenol and that helps.

MrsCasey, have fun today with your birth class!

As for me, I tried an Ambien last night to help with sleeping.  My doctor prescribed it on Friday.  He said the low dose he gave me is safe, but it still freaks me out to take it.  I thought I would try it once.  And oh my, I slept allllll night long.  I only woke once to take my Procardia/ nifedipine, and then quickly fell back asleep again.  I'm afraid my body will get used to it, and build a tolerance... so I'm not sure if I will keep taking it all the time, or only when I really need it.  Has anyone else used it before to share any experiences??

  • Oh, and my husband is outside right now tring to figure out how 2 infant car seat's and 1 convertible car seat (for our 3.5 year old) will fit.  He mentioned the "m" word, getting a minivan instead.  I told him to try harder, there has to be a way to squeeze all of the seats in!  Please!!  Haha

I have used Ambien in the past and I had a weird reaction to it it caused my heart to race and I was unable to move for 10 hours good thing I only took half a dose since then I have not used it

  • Lol MyPlus5! I've got a great deal on a Minivan from a friend but H refuses to get off Craigslist where he's searching for SUVs. Anything but a mini!! I wouldn't mind one; they can be pretty posh! Golly we have so much to do before they get here!!!

I had the same thing happen to me somewhere around that time.  It went away, but now, its back again in full force.  Today wasn't so bad--I think my lil man let go of the controls long enough for me to get some relief.

As for sleep, last night was the first time in a little while that I wasn't up every hour on the hour, going to the bathroom.  I was actually shocked.  I still don't sleep like I would like, but I felt more rested than I have.  The beans are definitely getting bigger and moving down (well he can't really move any further down--he's been seriously low the whole time).  30 days left!!!

  • Hello!

Sleep again was interrupted every hour by struggling to get to the bathroom since baby boy is nesting in my pelvis. 27 day countdown...sooooo ready for his arrival.

  • Lost my post twice yesterday and gave up... apologies if I am repeating myself I can't remember what I posted vs what I lost.

I'm still here. Looks like I dodged PTL again/for now. 7 more days until 32 weeks.

Drs cannot confirm if my water broke/leaked last Thurs so they are treating me as a possible PROM which means I had additional IV antibiotics yesterday and at 34 weeks, if I make it to then, they will want to do a dye test (injecting dye into amniotic sack to see if it leaks out). My understanding is that if you have a ruptured membrane, they want to induce at 34 wks to avoid infection. So the test could buy me more time if negative. Unfortunately I don't want the test but don't have a choice. : I haven't had a drop of any kind of leakage at all since that small amt on Thurs, which DR says could have been fluid or could have have been something else. Babies' fluid levels normal. But no longer have pessary or progesterone supp due to infection risk if I do have ruptured membrane. Argh : (

Had visits from DH and DS and DH came and watched a movie with me Sat night. DS is having a hard time and even though they come every day I feel so isolated from my family/life. It hit me after about 1.5 weeks in hospital last time as well :( I guess once the fear of imminent labor wears off you start thinking about how isolated you are. :(

aiche and others not sleeping I hope you get some relief.

    Welcome Harley and JillB.

    MrsCaseyK congrats on 30 weeks!

CNYBride - The nutritionist came by and gave me a new menu - apparently there is a secret menu you get if you've been here more than two weeks - with some additional choices. I also got on a list for milkshake deliveries (I kid you not - someone brings me milkshakes daily). I wonder if BI has something similar.

Hi MyPlus - don't know if you had any luck with the car seats, but if not, and you don't already have one, try getting a Diono Radian Radian for your 3.5 yr old. They are thinner than most convertible seats. You'll end up spending $200+ on a new seat when you don't need one but it's a lot cheaper than getting the dreaded "m" word : )
